Shamanic
methods use the elements of breath, plant essences, sound, stones and fire
to facilitate wholeness. Healing occurs at the energetic level of
the body, clearing the “original wound” before it manifests physically.
A treatment
may include clearing and balancing of the chakras, scanning of the energy
field to identify and remove dense energies, the removal of energetic attachments
or intrusions detrimental to health, or the retrieval of essential life
energy lost to traumatic events.
Other
services include Peruvian Despacho Ceremony to bring harmonious outcomes
to important situations, home and land clearing, and consultation,
coaching, and classes in shamanic dreaming for adults and children. Office

Kim
Newall is trained in the shamanic medicine practices of the indigenous
peoples of Peru. She has studied with Michael Harner, Alberto Villoldo,
Cuzco shaman Jose Luis Herrera, and Cherokee medicine woman Mary Blankenship.
She is a graduate of the Wiracocha Institute Healing School and Post Graduate
Studies, and is a certified Dream Teacher Trainer through Robert Moss’s
School for Active Dreaming.

work is an amazing modality for clearing and moving forward; for healing
on all levels. It is a tailwind for transformation. Clients
seeking to create new direction, healing and/or change are those that are
served best by this work.
Individuals
who have the intention to heal the past, reframe the present and invite
a more beneficial future are wonderful candidates for an Awakening Session.
Awakening Sessions are similar to, yet more profound than Reiki -- from
my experience. They are powerful, yet gentle and effective, in clearing
energetic imbalances, which accrue over time within the emotional, mental
and physical subtle/auric bodies. Stagnant or blocked energy inhibits
one’s ability to move forward, in addition to creating illness, dis-ease,
or a feeling or knowing that a shift is what is needed.
As
an Awakening facilitator & Reiki Master Practitioner, it is my honor
to serve to help this life-force energy to clear and flow. I assist
my clients to relax and allow their Higher, Knowing Self to be present
in their physical being. When this happens, a tremendous and often
profound gateway appears. Change and transformation follow our trust in
the universal flow.
Awakening
sessions are comfortable, healing and safe. They are relaxing,
peaceful and like a warm energy bath. Clients are fully clothed on
a massage table. Sessions range from 60-90 minutes in length.
Nutrition
As
a nutritionist and energy medicine practitioner, I work primarily with
clients who desire to let go of old habits and patterns of belief and behavior
around eating, weight and body image. My approach is catered to meet
my clients where they are, and more importantly, to respect the path they
have already walked. Sessions include counseling and energy
work. For clients who are not drawn to receive energy work, I do
offer counseling services solely.
After
working in a traditional mutrition counseling setting for a number of years,
I came to see that “rules” and nutrition plans do not make for lasting
change. In fact, when individuals are not encouraged/taught to listen
to the wisdom of their bodies and intuition, the result can be incredibly
self-defeating, perpetual and crazy-making.
Many
of my clients express that they are “done” with their current relationship
to food; they know that it no longer serves them, it needs to be different,
but have trouble seeing their way clearly forward. This is where
energy work, as part of the path through a tenuous relationship to food,
is an amazing modality. Energy work is a tailwind for transformation
that, together, we couple with new tools and perspective. There truly
is a shift in consciousness that occurs.
Even
the most dramatic or entrenched pattern of disordered eating can be broken
when a client learns to listen to her body, stay present with herself and
employ curiosity. The philosophy and experience that guides my practice
is that deep and lasting change does occur as clients are supported to
shift beliefs, behavior and taught to trust. Session content may
include mindfulness, attending to physical and emotional hungers, strategies
for healthy food choices, overcoming emotional eating, developing intuition,
etc.

Massage
We
have 3 licensed massage therapists on staff that each offers a unique background
in various massage techniques including: injury treatment, Swedish, deep
tissue, craniosacral, sports, cupping, pregnancy, Thai massage, and myofascial
release.
A little
bit about our massage space... our therapy room is equipped with an adjustable
Oakworks Spa clinician table to fit the needs of various body weights and
sizes. Extra fluffy heating pads with 100% cotton flannel sheets add to
the warmth and comfort of the table. Our hydroculator uses hot steam packs
to help encourage circulation and blood flow to the muscles, while assisting
the therapist in achieving maximum therapeutic results.
Appointments:
6 days a week, morning to late evening.
We
offer 1 hour, 1-1/2 hour, or 2 hour appointments.
We
do accept various forms of health insurance.

I
use a combination of craniosacral therapy, matrix energetics, reiki and
psych-k®, individually designed to help clients transform their lives
on a multi-dimensional level. Sessions are created to empower the
client to use consciousness building tools in order to move to the next
level of their journey. EFT (emotional freedom technique), qi gong
exercises, and other energy healing techniques are taught as fits a client's
needs. I also teach all levels of Reiki, a gentle and powerful healing
technique.
